TELUS working to restore service to parts of Mackenzie County following outages caused by wildfire

EDMONTON, Alberta, May 20, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TELUS is working to restore wireless service to parts of Mackenzie County after the Chuckegg Creek wildfire caused power outages that affected TELUS infrastructure. TELUS crews have been dispatched to the area and are actively working to keep services online and restore the outages. For areas that are currently not safe to access, TELUS crews are standing by and will begin working to fully restore services as quickly as possible.

Crews will be working around the clock, though at this time there is no estimated time of restoral as it is largely dependent on restoration of commercial power.

Further updates will be provided as they become available and can be followed by visiting telus.com/servicestatus.

TELUS thanks its customers for their patience and understanding.
