The business is registered in SAM and they are currently seeking federal contracting opportunities.

Lee County, Ala. , March 15, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On March 3, 2019, the Southeastern United States was hit with a tornado outbreak. Over 39 tornados were reported, and 23 people lost their lives. However, as with any disaster, it’s always important to take a moment to acknowledge the people who step in to help. Candice and Mike Mathes of Mathes Land Development, LLC are just some of those who rose to the occasion.

Mathes Land Development, LLC is a small business based out of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. For 22 years, they have been providing services such as:

  • Disaster Clean-Up
  • Dirt Work
  • Tree Shredding
  • Land Sculpting
  • Landscaping
  • Home, Road, and Lake Building

“This tornado had hit around 20 miles to us, and we had to pull over and hide,” said Mike Mathes. Mike and Candice were actually on their way back to Missouri from another job when the tornados hit. On March 5, the two decided to contact FEMA in hopes of finding disaster relief work. They were then directed to the Lee County Emergency Management Agency.

Since arriving on the scene Lee County, Mathes Land Development, LLC had been volunteering around the clock to clean up the disaster area. For days on end, Mathes Land Development, LLC played a pivotal role in helping Lee County get back on its feet. They were the first to arrive in their area and they were the only volunteers with machinery who were helping.

Mathes Land Development, LLC is a verified vendor whose registration in the System for Award Management is managed by US Federal Contractor Registration. They are also WOSB certified as well. Currently, they are actively seeking out federal contracts, especially with FEMA, to help out on future disaster clean-up opportunities. Their moto is to “Work smarter and harder,” and to them, no job is complete until they see a smile on their customer’s face.
