President Faure Sends Message of Condolence to President of Ethiopia on the Passing of Former President
President Danny Faure has sent a message of condolence to the President of Ethiopia, Sahle-Work Zewde, on the passing of former President, Girma Wolde-Giorgis.
In his message, President Faure said, “It is with profound sadness and deep sorrow that we learned of the recent demise of H.E. Girma Wolde-Giorgis. In this hour of national grief, the people and government of Seychelles join me in extending our sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to you, the people of Ethiopia and to the family of Mr. Wolde-Giorgis”.
Mr. Wolde-Giorgis was the second president of Ethiopia and served for 12 years from 2001 to 2013. He passed away on the 15th of December 2018, at the age of 93.
