Downtown Calgary hotel and Baywest Homes partner for the seventh annual charity event

CALGARY, Alberta, Dec. 04, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Baywest Homes and Calgary Marriott Downtown proudly celebrated the seventh edition of the Building Hope for Kids Gala: A Night in New Orleans. The hotel in downtown Calgary partnered with Baywest to raise $1.5 million for the cause, with over 400 people in attendance. The hotel’s restaurant, ONE18 Empire showcased a sponsored stand with old-fashioned whiskeys, selling out in just two hours.

The annual event welcomes more than 600 Building and Development professionals every year who want to help support the Alberta Children’s Hospital while experiencing some of the world’s most exciting locales. All food at the gala was catered by Calgary Marriott Downtown and its team of expert chefs and culinary artists. The event showcased what makes dining in downtown Calgary a unique experience, while raising money for a worthy cause.

Building Hope for Kids provides state-of-the-art equipment, innovative research and family-centered care programs at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. This year’s event helped to support Mental Health initiatives at the hospital. The funds raised at the event will help children and families throughout the community as they face one of the world’s biggest health concerns.
