Luanda, ANGOLA, November 19 - The Angolan President, João Lourenço, has encouraged the business sector to support meritorious students through scholarship award in the area of activity in which the company operates.,

The Head of State, who has encouraged companies to support young people as part of their social responsibility, said the aim is to contribute to the higher education training of young talented Angolans.

To the president, with such move the country will get profits and so will the company which awards the scholarship, taking into account that it will have secured in the future the services of trained people in the area of interest of the firm.

João Lourenço underscored that the entrance in the labour market is the biggest concern of newly- trained people, so the national cadres training strategy foresees the absorption by the private sector of a good percentage of these graduates.

The president, who paid a visit to the Agostinho Neto University Campus last Friday, learnt about the concerns of the students, with focus on the lack of teachers, social conditions, scholarships and books subventions.
