Angola- Algeria cooperation on former combatants sector

Luanda, ANGOLA, November 12 - Angola and the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria have launched cooperation in the field of Former Combatants and Motherland Veteran. ,

 

This was during a signing ceremony of cooperation agreement on exchange documents, information and experiences related to the social protection of this group.

 

The agreement was signed during a four-day working visit of the Angolan minister of Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland, João Ernesto dos Santos "Liberdade", to Algeria.

 

The deal provides for cooperation in the field of cultural and historical heritage, including the promotion of patriotic education and dissemination of films and documentaries on the facts and achievements of the national liberation struggle in each country.

 

The agreement also covers the technical and vocational training, the promotion of strategic partnerships for the improvement of conditions, as well as the manufacture of prostheses and orthopedic appliances for the physical rehabilitation of former combatants and veterans of the motherland.

 

The incumbent ministers of Angola and Algeria, respectively João Ernesto dos Santos "Liberdade" and Tayeb Zitouni, signed the protocol, as part of closer bilateral relations.

 

The parties agreed to set up a joint technical committee made up of senior officials from the two Ministries aimed to assess, discuss and develop the various aspects of the memorandum.
