Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Andrey Nikitin, Governor of the Novgorod Region, today signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2018 a revised version of the Agreement of Cooperation. The document is meant to replace the Agreement of Cooperation signed in 2005.

The document aims to further enhance the relationships between Gazprom and the Novgorod Region. The main areas of joint activities include the gas infrastructure expansion and the NGV market development in the region, as well as the introduction of energy saving technologies in facilities using natural gas.

According to the Agreement, Gazprom will ensure, inter alia, reliable gas supplies to consumers in the Novgorod Region and will consider the possibility of participating in the construction and upgrading of social infrastructure facilities.

In its turn, the Government of the Novgorod Region will assist Gazprom in resolving right-of-way related matters, agreeing on permitting documents and creating a favourable tax environment for the Company's investment and social projects in the region. Besides that, the parties will continue their efforts to improve the payment discipline of regional consumers.
