More than 400 explosive devices destroyed in Dande

Caxito, ANGOLA, October 21 - At least 468 unexploded ordnances were destroyed on Friday in Igua, Dande municipality, Bengo province, by the National Demining Institute (INAD). ,

Among the destroyed explosive devices are ten anti-personnel landmines, an anti-tank landmines, 139 projectiles, 12 rockets, 15 ammunitions, 33 grenades and 224 various low-caliber ammunitions.

 

Speaking to the press at the end of the act, the head of the National Demining Institute (INAD), Paulo Kangandjo, explained that these unexploded ordnances were collected in the Kiminha agricultural and industrial project (Icolo e Bengo/Luanda) Úcua (Dande), Mabubas, Barra do Dande and Nambuangongo.

 

According to him, this action aimed to have the country free of landmines.
