BMWORR took home the championship of the abbreviated Nan Rheault Tournament on Martha’s Vineyard, beating Scituate in Sunday’s championship game, 3-0. Meg Nolan earned the shutout and BMWORR got goals from Chelsea Peterson, Madison Guinen and Elsie Buckley in the win.
The Canalwomen played only one game in the tournament, advancing to the final as Dover-Sherborn/Hopkinton was unable to make it to the island because of the weekend storm.
Scituate earned its spot in the title game with Saturday’s 6-2 victory against the host Vineyarders. Christine Oar had two goals and an assist and Elizabeth Stevenson two goals for the Sailors, with Sheila Dunn and Elliette Leahy also scoring. Lauren Boyd and Hailey Meader scored for MV.
