According to FHP reports, Kyah Muntz, 19, was driving a two-door Volkswagen south in northbound lanes on S.R. A1A for unknown reasons when she struck a car with three people inside.

The driver and one of the passengers — 21-year-old Katlyn Duncan of Tampa and 28-year-old Grant Luker of Orlando — were seriously injured in the head-on collision, according to FHP.

A second passenger, Kavika Chugh, 23, of Orlando, was killed.

Muntz also suffered serious injuries from the wreck, according to troopers.

Troopers reported that charges are pending against Muntz and investigators are looking at whether the wreck may have been alcohol-related.
