Foreign Ministry: Azerbaijan keeps misinterpreting MFA statements
The Azeri "interpretation" of positions of different Foreign Ministries is nothing new, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, referring the news spread by Azerbaijani media regarding the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium several days ago.
"We must clearly state that the three principles of international law are the basis of the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, and the co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group is the only format of mediation and international mandate," the ministry said.
Remind that Azerbaijani mass media wrote that Belgium accepted Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and considered Artsakh an integral part of Azerbaijan.
Earlier Karabakh President's spokesman David Babayan responded to it and advised not to make a fuss about it.
"We have to take into account that we have de facto dynamically developing ties with Belgium. It is not ruled out that the Azerbaijani side has provided disinformation. Perhaps Belgium has recognized the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and they have introduced the name of Artsakh and misrepresented the facts. Understanding all these circumstances, we should not be much concerned about these news."
