YEREVAN. – The body of legendary Armenian weightlifter, Olympic champion Yuri Vardanyan will be transported to Armenia on November 11.
A memorial service will be held in his native city of Gyumri on November 12 and in Yerevan on November 12. On the same day he will be buried in the Komitas military pantheon.
The 62-year-old athlete died in U.S. on November 2.
