Authorities assigned additional police officers at Ames High School on Monday following a reported threat to students.The Ames Police Department said the threat came from an out-of-state caller using an anonymous app.Police said they have not found a direct connection between the threat and Ames High School students, but they are following leads.The department said additional officers were placed at the school as a precaution.
