The Human Rights Campaign has issued its annual municipal equality index ranking cities on the treatment of LGBTQ people under the law. Arkansas cities, as a whole, rank below average, with a score of 31 on a 100-point scale compared with a national average of 58.
Three cities in Arkansas — Little Rock, Eureka Springs and Fayetteville — scored above the national average.
