New Delhi: The Diamond Jubilee celebration of Zakir Husain Delhi College was organised at Salman Ghani Hashmi auditorium. Chief guests President of India Pranab Mukherjee, Vice Chancellor Delhi University Prof. Yogesh Tyagi, Principle of the college Masroor Ahmed Baig and College Chairman Prakash Singh kicked off the programme by lighting the candle.
President Pranab Mukherjee highlighted the cosmopolitan culture of India and said, people of various religions have been living together for centuries, as a result, the country has witnessed growth and development. He lauded the role of Zakir Husain Delhi College in imparting education and promoting culture among students. He congratulated the gathering on the Diamond Jubilee celebration of the college.
