GREAT FALLS – Some people got flu shots Thursday morning without even leaving their vehicles, as the Cascade City-County Health Department hosted a drive thru flu shot clinic at the Montana ExpoPark.

People drove up in cars and trucks but those who came on four-wheelers, bikes, and mopeds were also given a shot.

Flu Clinic Public Information Officer Anna Attaway say Montana was hit hard by the flu last year.

“We had almost a thousand hospitalizations in the state and almost 80 deaths. Most of the people hat were hospitalized or died did not get a flu shot, so we really recommend you getting it,” Attaway said.

This year’s flu shot will have the four different strains that officials believe will be going around this flu season.

If you missed Thursday’s event, there will be a Community Walk-In Flu Shot Clinic on Tuesday, September 25th, from noon until 4:30 at the Montana ExpoPark
