Trieu: Star-studded lineup arriving at Michigan for Big House BBQ
Michigan’s annual BBQ at the Big House will take place on Saturday.
The roster is, as usual, star-studded, with many top recruits from several different classes.
Michigan has received several 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions for Everett (Mass.) cornerback Mike Sainristil (5-10, 165 pounds) and Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward wide receiver Quintel Kent (6-0, 170 pounds). Sainristil is committed to Virginia Tech still, but visited Michigan last month.
Defensive end Mike Morris (6-5, 255 pounds), a four-star prospect from Delray Beach (Fla.) American Heritage, will attend the BBQ despite being committed to Florida State. He is also slated to return to Ann Arbor this fall for an official visit. He visited Michigan in March as well. Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) University School safety Josh Sanguinetti (6-2, 175 pounds) is also coming up from Florida. He will attend with his mother. While analysts favor Miami for Sanguinetti, he has not named a leader or a top group of schools.
“I just want to see the atmosphere they have up there, see the campus, and talk with the coaches,” Sanguinetti said.

Concord (Calif.) De La Salle tight end Isaiah Foskey (6-5, 240 pounds) reported to 247’s Brandon Huffman last month that he would be at Michigan this weekend. He will visit Notre Dame as well while in the Midwest and listed Michigan among six other schools that are standing out – Ohio State, Washington, Penn State, LSU, Oregon, and Oregon State.
Morrow (Ga.) safety Jamal Hill (6-2, 190 pounds) was offered by Michigan at the Mercer Camp in June. This will be his first visit to campus since receiving the offer. He has received six Power Five offers, including Alabama, since earning that Michigan offer.
“I don’t really know what to look for, honestly,” Hill said. “I’ll just try to get a vibe from the city and run with it. I’ll try to get more in-depth about where I would fit in the scheme too."
Eight class of 2020 recruits ranked inside the Top247 for that class will be on hand. Three – Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei cornerback Elias Ricks, Mills (Mass.) offensive tackle Kevin Pyne, and Boston Milton Academy linebacker Kalel Mullings – are ranked inside the top 50.
Five juniors-to-be from inside state lines who have Michigan scholarship offers are coming to the BBQ – Port Huron Northern defensive end Braiden McGregor, East Kentwood’s defensive end Bryce Mostella and offensive lineman Dallas Fincher, Gibraltar Carlson wide receiver Ian Stewart, and Bay City Central wide receiver Devell Washington.
The 2021 class will also have several players on hand who have Michigan offers. From inside the state are Belleville two-way lineman Damon Payne, West Bloomfield running back Donovan Edwards, and Harper Woods offensive lineman Davion Weatherspoon.
One rising freshman coming to the BBQ with a Michigan offer is Tyler Martin, a 6-foot-3, 227-pound linebacker from Massachusetts.
