CoventryLive is naming and shaming crooks from the city who were locked up in June.

We’ve managed to gather as many mugshots as possible of criminals from Coventry and Warwickshire, who were jailed for a range of offences over the past month.

The crimes vary from cheating the public purse to attempted murder, with sentences ranging from two years to 32 years behind bars.

They include:

Iain MacLachlan Sim

Iain Maclachan Sim, from Leamington, was found guilty of the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend.

Sim was found guilty of attempted murder after throwing his girlfriend out of a fourth-floor window.

He was sentenced to 20 years in prison following the incident in Leamington which saw him hurl his then partner from the window of a maisonette following a violent argument.

He was also given a restraining order against his victim, meaning he cannot directly or indirectly contact her for 20 years.

Prostitution business duo

Raymond Dickens and Peter Jones have been convicted of a string of sexual offences

Peter Livingston Jones and Raymond Dickens are now behind bars for a total of 38 years after being convicted of running a prostitution business.

They despicable pair groomed and exploited young women for their own financial gain and sexual gratification.

Jones, from Coventry, was convicted of 11 offences and Dickens, from Rugby, of eight offences - they included rape, indecent assault and false imprisonment.

The drugs lord from Solihull ran a £100million cocaine and cannabis smuggling operation and was jailed for 32 years.

Mulvey fled to Spain after the operation was uncovered where he led a lavish lifestyle, before he was eventually arrested in Lithuania by armed police.

He was described as the “controlling mind” behind the conspiracies, who made regular trips to the continent to organise the purchase and delivery of drugs from Holland and Spain.

Amarjit Dhaliwal raped a woman and controlled her life during months of horrific abuse.

He was convicted of three counts of rape, assault causing actual bodily harm, controlling behaviour and one count of threats to kill against a relative of the victim following a trial at Warwick Crown Court.

A judge jailed Dhaliwal, from Warwick, for 14 years.

Armed robbers

Samuel Gold and Michael Hackett

Samuel Gold and Michael Hackett raided two stores armed with an imitation gun and stole cash and cigarettes.

When police caught up with them, a pistol was found underneath a bed and they were both charged with armed robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.

Gold, 31, was sent to prison for 16 years and 30-year-old Hackett for 10.

Abdul Rehman

Abdul Rehman, from Solihull, was jailed for two years for a £500,000 tax evasion scam.

This fraudster pocketed half a million pounds in a tax evasion scam.

Rehman failed to pay tax on the profit from his £3million online business and then his lies included getting a cleaner to pose as a computer technician and produce bogus invoices.

The 50-year-old was jailed for two years after pleading guilty to cheating the public revenue and money laundering offences.
