A man killed Thursday when he was dragged several blocks by an RTD bus in Littleton had deliberately crawled under the bus when it was stopped.
Police on Tuesday shared information gleaned from an ongoing investigation of the incident and also announced that the bus driver will not face any criminal charges in the death.
“The subject deliberately crawled under the bus, and it appears he tried to do it without being detected by the bus driver,” said Cmdr. Trent Cooper at a news conference.

Interviews with witnesses and surveillance video of the incident led investigators to the conclusion that 31-year-old Patrick Tshudy, of Greenwood Village, “deliberately” crawled beneath the bus.
“It’s an unfortunate and tragic incident,” Cooper said.
Why he did it is unclear, and his motive remains under investigation.
