Washington State has added offensive lineman Keenan Forbes to its 2018 recruiting class, the Cougars announced Saturday.

Forbes, a 6-foot-4, 335-pounder from Miami, Fla., comes to Pullman from Coffeyville (Kans.) Community College, where he appeared in 11 games.

Prior to that, Forbes signed with Iowa State coming out of Everglades (Miramar, Fla.) High School in 2016. Forbes was rated a three-star prospect, and the sixth-man offensive lineman in Florida in 2016, also earning second-team all-state honors.

Per 247Sports.com, Forbes had multiple Group of Five scholarship offers out of high school, but signed with the only Power Five school that offered him.

He redshirted at Iowa State during the 2016 season, then transferred to Coffeyville C.C.

Forbes enrolled at WSU earlier this week and will participate in spring practice. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

With Forbes’ addition, WSU has now signed four offensive linemen as part of the 2018 signing class. The other three are Woodinville’s Cade Beresford, Anderson’s (Calif.) Jarrett Kingston and Palisades’ (Calif.) Syr Riley.

WSU has signed 20 recruits to the 2018 signing class thus far, with 19 of those signing during the inaugural December signing period. Each FBS-level football team is allowed to sign up to 25 recruits per year, so WSU has five spots to fill between now and Signing Day on Feb. 7.
