Pedestrian killed by dump truck in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCIV) — North Charleston Police say a pedestrian died after being hit by a dump truck Thursday.

The incident happened near the intersection of Carner Avenue and Burton Lane shortly after 5 p.m. on January 17.

Emergency personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene from their injuries.

The Charleston County Coroner's Office has not yet released the name of the person who died.

North Charleston Police say they are continuing to investigate the incident.
