PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The price of gasoline in Rhode Island is up 10 cents per gallon.

AAA Northeast said Monday its weekly survey found self-serve regular selling for an average of $2.75 per gallon. That’s a penny lower than the national average.

AAA says prices are now at the level last seen during the summer of 2015.

The average price of gasoline in Rhode Island is 40 cents higher than it was a year ago.

AAA found gas in Rhode Island selling for as low as $2.62 per gallon and as high as $2.99.

AAA says demand is up and inventories of oil and gasoline are down. Prices are likely to continue rising.
