Dutch elm disease is on the rise this year in Regina.
The city has confirmed that they have had five cases of Dutch elm disease. Elm trees make up around 45 per cent of Regina’s tree population.

The city would also like to remind people that it is illegal to store or transport Elm firewood.
Symptoms to watch for are yellow or wilting leaves. If you think an Elm tree looks stressed or infected, call service Regina at 306-777-7000 to have a tree inspector come out and look at it.
