The trend for low calorie and alcohol wine shows no sign of slowing down, and as we continue into summer, Iceland have announced their latest Streamline range to meet the demands for a conscientious cup.

Iceland's wine is priced at just £5.49 a pop, pocket money compared to M&S's version priced at a more expensive £7.50.

The wines contain only 8.5% ABV, and are available in a Rose, Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc, all originating from South Africa. It's available in store and online now .

Low alcohol beer, cider or wine is now consumed by nearly a quarter (23%) of alcohol drinks, whilst overall consumption of lower-alcohol drinks increased significantly to 41% in 18-34 year olds.

Robin Langton, Iceland’s Senior Buyer for Beers, Wines and Spirits commented: “Lower calorie and lower alcohol wines are increasingly popular, but this summer our great tasting Streamline Sauvignon Blanc and the Shiraz wines are really popular. They deliver the great fruity, smooth and juicy taste our customers expect, but around a third of the alcohol and calories. Even better they are well priced below £6 a bottle.”
