"When my parents used the bricks meant to build their house for my high school education fees, I shuttered their dream... But when God blessed me I decided to make their dream come true," read Nisha's Facebook post in part.

In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, Nisha revealed that the house gobbled up a whopping KSh 1.5 million.

She said from the little savings she made while working as a hotelier (chef), she was able to gather the house materials in bids.

"The house cost, including materials, labour, doors and windows... everything to where it is now, is KSh 1.5 million.
"Though, I started to buy all the materials first in bids, taking like seven years. The construction of the house took around three months," said Nisha.
Nisha said she had most of the materials like bricks, which she made at home.

"In terms of bricks, I made my own at home, about 8000-9000 bricks. I paid KSh 4 per brick so it was not that costly," she added.

The lady, who hails from Vihiga County, disclosed that the house has a sitting room, dining room and veranda, "which looks like a sitting room on its own."

The chef encouraged young people to work hard, save a little they make and never forget their parents.

"Number one, youth should put God first in whatever they are doing. Don't lose hope, be as smart and have patience, and hope that nothing stops you from what you wish to achieve.
"Save a little you make, life requires working hard and smart... remember your parents, they sacrificed a lot for us," she advised.

"I built my grandma this semi-permanent house, it cost slightly over KSh 250,000," he captioned his post on the Dream House and Building Forum.

Kenyans on social media congratulated Osano for his kind gesture, with some indicating they were motivated to start similar projects.
