In January, after a drunk Georgia judge pointed a gun at police during a state dispute, the state Department of Justice recommended the removal of Habersham County Chief Justice Gerald W. Johnson from office.

Five months later, the Georgia Supreme Court is still yet to rule on the sanctions recommendation from the Judicial Qualifications Commission of Georgia.
