Jurgen Klopp makes his final team selection of the season on Sunday, with the Reds travelling to face Southampton in their final fixture of a tough season.

On the final day last season, Liverpool were involved in a dramatic final day shootout with Man City, with a dramatic comeback leading City to consecutive titles. However, this season they face a very different picture, with a fifth place finish assured following Brighton's draw with Man City in midweek.

This means that Europa League football will be coming to Anfield next term for the first time since 2015/16, in which they reached the final against Sevilla during Klopp's first season at the club. Ahead of next season, Liverpool are expected to make an overhaul of their squad following the departures of Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Southampton, meanwhile, have already had their relegation confirmed with a 20th placed finish guaranteed as Ruben Selles faces his final match in charge of the club. With both clubs knowing where they will finish, there could be a good spectacle for fans, with both teams able to play without the pressure of league positions to worry about.

Jurgen Klopp comes into the match with some injury concerns, with long-term absentees Stefan Bajcetic, Thiago Alcantara, Calvin Ramsay and Keita all being ruled out with long-term injuries this season. However, he will be able to call on Darwin Nunez, with the Uruguayan returning to full training after a toe injury.

He may also give minutes to departing players, with Milner in line to start the match in midfield while Roberto Firmino will hope to compete for a starting berth ahead of Diogo Jota.

Andy Robertson is a doubt for the match, having picked up a groin injury in the build-up to the match which means that Kostas Tsimikas could take his place. Klopp revealed the problem on Firday, saying: "He had a scan, that was fine but we anyway have to see how we can deal with that."

Curtis Jones is likely to keep his place after an extended run in the team of late, working alongside Milner and Fabinho in a midfield three. Trent Alexander-Arnold will likely be named as right-back for the match, but his recent forays into midfield could be repeated against a Southampton side who have lost nine of their last 12 matches.

Liverpool predicted XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Milner, Fabinho, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Jota.
