New Trailer for Dark Revenge Comedy MOVING ON Starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin

A fun new trailer has been released for the dark revenge comedy Moving On, starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. The actresses famously starred in the 1980 comedy 9 to 5 together alongside Dolly Parton, and recently reteamed for another comedy, 80 For Brady, alongside Sally Field and Rita Moreno. These two ladies know how to make a powerful female-led comedy, and this movie looks like it’s going to be great.

The film is both written and directed by Paul Weitz (American Pie, Down to Earth, About a Boy), and Fonda and Tomlin are joined in the cast by Malcolm McDowell, Richard Roundtree, Catherine Dent, and Marcel Nahapetian.

Here’s the film’s synopsis:

Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin star as estranged friends who reunite to seek revenge on the petulant widower (Malcolm McDowell) of their recently deceased best friend. Along the way… Fonda's character reunites with her great love (Richard Roundtree) as each woman learns to make peace with the past & each other.

This movie looks endearing. I like a good female empowerment story with an undertone of friendship. Check out the trailer below, and watch Moving On in select US theaters on March 17th.
