Procedural hearings between Armenia and Azerbaijan have ended at the UN International Court of Justice.

Armenia is now presenting its arguments on Azerbaijan's request for interim measures.

Earlier Baku demanded the International Court of Justice to oblige Armenia to stop mining Azerbaijani territories and the use of the Lachin road for transporting mines to Karabakh.

In his statement to the UN court, Azerbaijan's representative Elnur Mammadov demanded urgent measures against Armenia, arguing that they have new evidence.

Azerbaijan has new evidence that Armenia continues to mine Azerbaijani territories, he said. According to him more than 2,700 Armenian-made mines were found in Azerbaijan in 2021. Most of these mines were found in civilian areas, Mammadov noted.
