Previously, the picture had shattered the November release weekend record in the United States.
Marvel & Disney's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever just surpassed a huge $400 million milestone at the worldwide box office just a week after the movie's release.
For comparison, DC's Black Adam had a worldwide gross of about $350 million after nearly a month of availability. Wakanda Forever had an excellent $181 million release weekend in the United States, falling just short of the $187 million release weekend record which was set by another Marvel sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness earlier this year.
The picture grossed $213 million in the United States and an additional 187 million dollars in foreign regions, for a total worldwide gross of $400 million.

‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ has already outperformed two early Marvel Cinematic Universe films, Wakanda Forever has also outperformed last year's Black Widow in terms of worldwide lifetime earnings, but that picture was distributed concurrently on the Disney+ streaming service for premium access price. It is now exceeding Eternals' $402 million lifetime haul and will overtake Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' and Thor's $432 million and $449 million international lifetime hauls by the conclusion of its second weekend.

So far, the film's largest international market is the United Kingdom, followed by Mexico and France. Wakanda Forever has established a high standard.
