The Big Green Egg Swedish Match Play Championship, took place this week at the Edenhof Course in GolfUppsala, Sweden.
Dubai-based 16-year-old Chiara Noja (Ger), who represents Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dubai, lost her morning semi-final match today to Lauren Holmey (Ned) by 2&1 and then Holmey lost in the final to champion Patricia Isabel Schmidt (Ger) by 4&2, with all matches played over nine holes.
Chiara told Gulf News on completing her match, “The weather was great all week and I am happy my golf is trending in the right direction. Match play is still not my favourite format, and I lost to some better golf this morning from Lauren.”

The four-day event had a €40,000 prize pool in play for the top 45 professionals and ties, however only the 32 players qualifying for the matchplay were eligible to receive points in the LETAS Order of Merit.
With this performance Chiara continues to lead the LETAS Order of Merit with 1939.65 points from her 11 events so far this season. In second place in the season long rankings is this week’s Match Play champion Patricia Isabel Schmidt (Ger) with 1,678.21 points from 13 qualifying events.
