With just weeks to go until Birmingham 2022, Beach Volleyball has revealed its official match schedule for the summer games. Tickets are still available too see Team England shoot for glory at Smithfield, Birmingham city centre from July 30 to August 7, featuring afternoon and evening sessions.

Although tickets are currently unavailable, organisers are expecting a surge in sales now that the match schedule has been revealed. They will go for £8 for under 16s and £15 for adults.

Birmingham 2022 Director of Sport, Matt Kidson explained: "We know that some Beach Volleyball fans have been waiting to see the detailed match schedule before selecting the sessions that they want to attend and now we've released that information we are expecting a high demand for tickets, especially for the sessions featuring England and the top seeds.

"We are also expecting spectators who have never seen Beach Volleyball to flock to Smithfield, as the site will be a key hub during the Games. The atmosphere is going to be fantastic."

The match schedule for Women's Beach Volleyball

The quarter finals of men's and women's tournaments will be played across three sessions on August 5 and the semi-finals will be played in two sessions on August 6. Bronze and gold medal matches will be held on August 7.

Audiences can catch the game at the Smithfield site, located in the centre of Birmingham within walking distance from the city's main rail stations and Digbeth coach station. Although the venue is still under construction, games organisers have revealed CGI images of the proposed look for the end of July.

Expect to see Rotunda, St Martin's and Selfridges in the background.

The opening match will feature the men's Bello brothers facing Tuvalu, then July 30 will feature Australia taking on the Maldives in the second session of the day. Javier and Joaquin Bello hope for massive home country support especially in the evening session on August 3 when they square up to New Zealand, the bronze winners from Gold Coast.

The match schedule for Men's Beach Volleyball

On the women's opening match on July 30 Gold Coast gold medallists Canada take on Ghana in the first session of the day, whilst New Zealand and Kenya battle it out in the evening session. The Lion's pairing Jess Grimson and Daisy Mumby, will begin their campaign on July 31 against the Solomon Islands who are making their debut, before a game closer to home in the second session on August 2 when go against Scotland.

Team England's third group match is set for August 4 against Vanuatu. Other exciting matches for fans include August 1 when Australia taking on South Africa in the men's competition and Canada face the Kenyan pair in the women's competition. In between these competitions will be Team England's men's match with Cyprus.

The first session the following day on August 2 is also expected to be a hit with Australia's women (silver), Canada's men's pair (silver) and Vanuatu's women team (bronze) all hoping for glory as they take on Trinidad and Tobago, St Kitts and Nevis and the Solomon Islands.
