NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A police officer in Middle Tennessee helped a family make it to the airport on time after one of their tires went flat on the interstate.

Mt. Juliet Police said Officer Angele didn't hesitate when he saw a family stranded on I-40. They were heading to Nashville International Airport when they hit a pothole which ruptured a tire.

The officer was quick to change the tire, ensuring they got to BNA on time.

"Doing whatever we can to help our community members, Ofc. Angle did not hesitate this morning to change a family’s flat tire," the department tweeted. "They were on their way to [BNA] to catch a flight when they struck a pothole on I-40, rupturing the tire. Angle got them back on their way!"
