Wrexham could consider themselves fortunate to gain a replay in Saturday's FA Cup fourth qualifying round at the Marine Travel Arena and it took a 94th-minute equaliser to spare their blushes.

Phil Parkinson's side struggled to a 1-1 draw at their 8th tier hosts and were grateful to Jordan Davies for a 94th-minute free kick which crept in off the post, much to the relief of the National League side.

The Dragons struggled throughout most of the game and Marine will feel aggrieved that they weren't able to hold on to what would have been an impressive win for the Merseysiders.

Marine started the better of the two sides and the first half saw Wrexham enjoy a fair amount of possession without ever really threatening and the Merseysiders looked to hit Wrexham on the counter-attack which brought them some joy without ever really testing Rob Lainton, who was unfortunately injured after a collision and was replaced by Kristian Dibble.

Half time was greeted with a smattering of boos from the away end with Dragons fans unhappy with the way their team played. The second half continued in much the same vein until Marine took the lead in the 78th minute with a headed goal from the impressive Owen Watkinson.

That seemed to spark Wrexham into action and the remainder of the game saw the Red Dragons camped in the Marine half but just as the clock was ticking down into the final minute Wrexham won a free-kick and Jordan Davies struck a delightful shot in off the near post to save Wrexham from what would have been an extremely disappointing exit from the FA Cup.

With the Racecourse pitch still not ready for action, the Tuesday night replay will take place at Nantwich Town's Weaver Stadium and the game will kick off at 7.45 pm.
