DEATH TOLL PASSES 3-MILLION . GOOD EVENING, THANKS FOR JOINING US I'M CHERISE LECLERC. THE PANDEMIC CLAIMED 1 MILLION LIVES IN NINE MONTHS. IT TOOK ANOTHER FOUR MONTHS TO KILL THE SECOND MILLION, AND JUST THREE MONTHS TO CAUSE A MILLION MORE DEATHS. THE GRIM MILESTONE COMES AFTER HEALTH OFFICIALS IN THE U.S. PAUSED CONTINUED ROLLOUT OF THE SINGLE DOSE JOHNSON AND JOHNSON VACCINE. OVERALL, MORE THAN 129 MILLION PEOPLE IN THE UNITED STATES HAVE RECEIVED AT LEAST ONE DOSE OF THE COVID-19 VACCINE, INCLUDING THE J AND J. NEARLY 25- PERCENT OF THE POPULATION HAS BEEN FULLY VACCINATED. MORE THAN 91- THOUSAND CASES OF COVID-19 HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED IN OUR STATE, AND áNEW CASES HAVE TOPPED MORE THAN 300 FOR THE 12TH DAY IN A ROW. 95-PERCENT OF ALL PATIENTS DIAGNOSED WITH THE VIRUS RECOVERED. No new COVID-19 deaths were reported on Saturday and current hospitalizations decreased, according to health officials. There were 370 new positive test results reported on Saturday, for a current PCR positivity rate of 2.0%. There have been a total 91,279 Granite Staters with COVID-19.Current hospitalizations decreased by 5, to 127, and there have been a total of 1,278 people hospitalized, according to health officials. Health officials said there are 3,254 current cases, a decrease of 497 from what was reported on Friday. It is the lowest since March 30.
