NSP: Suspect in Nebraska murder-suicide killed woman who had protection order against him
Two people were found dead at a Gage County home Tuesday morning, officials say.
According to Nebraska State Patrol, Gage County officials were called to the 600 block of East Oak Road, just outside of Blue Springs.
Inside the home, investigators found the bodies of Jason Arnold, 49, of Blue Springs, with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigators also found the body of Brooke Koch, 40, of Blue Springs.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, the same morning, Arnold failed to appear in Gage County Court for violation of a protection order, prohibiting him from contact with Koch.
Investigators believe the case to be a murder-suicide and that there is no threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing.
Autopsies are scheduled for Wednesday morning.
