Azerbaijan returns bodies 31 more Armenian troops to Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Azerbaijani side has returned the remains of 31 Armenian troops to Nagorno-Karabakh in the region of Varanda (Fizuli), Karabakh authorities reported Tuesday, January 26.

According to preliminary information, all the soldiers were from the reserve forces, and a forensic examination has been ordered to identify them, Karabakh's State Emergency Service said. The Azerbaijani side, meanwhile, has failed to inform the Armenian side in which parts of the zone of hostilities the remains were discovered.

1318 bodies were recovered as of January 26. Search and rescue operations continue in Martuni, Varanda and Hadrut.
