Jet2holidays has announced that it will be bringing back holidays and flights to Cyprus for Brits in August.

The holiday firm will be offering flights with Jet2.com as well as packages with Jet2holidays to two holiday hotspots; Lanarca and Paphos.

Flights and holiday packages to Lanarca will be re-opening from Monday 17th August, while Paphos will be on offer for Brits from Tuesday 18th August.

Both hotspots have been a hit with Brits for decades, notably offering up a wide array of hotels, restaurants, and boasting some of the best beaches in Cyprus.

At the time of writing, the FCO does not advise against travel to Cyprus - however you should make sure to regularly check the FCO Cyprus advice before booking and travelling.

Brits heading to Cyprus will need to provide a negative Covid-19 test on arrival, which needs to have been obtained within 72 hours before travelling. Children under 12 years old are exempt from taking a test.

It's the first time that Jet2holidays is resuming its Cyprus offerings, having been forced to halt operations back in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, the company says it has seen an increase in demand to the holiday hotspot.

The company will be offering flights from eight UK airports; Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle.

Jet2 isn't the only firm resuming flights for August.

Ryanair says that it has restored over 60 per cent of its normal flight schedules in August, while British Airways recently announced that it would be resuming flights to 17 destinations including France and Turkey. easyJet is also following suit, having added more flights to its summer schedule after an unexpected rise in demand.
