Air-conditioners company Carrier Midea India Pvt. Ltd, a joint venture between Carrier and Midea, on Thursday announced the appointment of Sanjay Mahajan as the new Managing Director. He has been the Chief Operating Officer of the company since 2016, said a Carrier Midea statement.
The company said that Krishan Sachdev, who has been Managing Director of the company since 2012, will continue as its Chairman and support Carrier in the governance of other joint ventures . In addition, Sachdev will play a key role in growing Carrier’s global residential consumer HVAC business, the statement added.
Carrier Midea India markets Carrier hi-wall residential splits and window air-conditioners, and promotes Midea residential, light commercial and VRF products. The company recently announced the establishment of a new manufacturing facility for room air-conditioners and light commercial splits, among others, in Supa, Maharashtra.
