From Friday’s Covid-19 positive test results, a healthcare worker at at Covid Swabbing Centre, resulted positive.

The Superintendent for Public Health, in a statement on Saturday, said that “this person underwent a routine test which is carried out on all healthcare workers periodically, therefore he had no symptoms.”

During his time on duty, the Superintendent said that “he was wearing protective clothing, therefore there is no risk to clients who visited Swab Centre. It is likely that he was in contact with the virus when he was in the community.”

As a precaution, the hub was disinfected, and will resume welcoming clients immediately, the Superintendent said.
