Days after her amazing win on The Masked Singer, Nicola Roberts has given fans something else to get excited about by hinting at a Girls Aloud reunion.

After wowing millions of viewers with her performances week in, week out on the bonkers and highly addictive ITV show, Nicola was finally revealed to be the singer behind the Queen Bee disguise after beating Jason Manford's Hedgehog in The Masked Singer final at the weekend.

Nicola had a watch party for her big moment, with former bandmates Cheryl and Kimberley Walsh joining her to see the victory and, after both Kimberley and Cheryl have paid tribute to Nicola on Instagram, the Scouse singer has revealed she thinks they and other Girls Aloud members Nadine Coyle and Sarah Harding could be back together before long, having shot to fame close to 20 years ago now.

Speaking to hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes on Monday's This Morning, Nicola said: "I would love to get back with the girls - we just have to cross that bridge when the anniversary comes and see where we're all at.

"We'd love to do that for the fans."

Girls Aloud were formed back in 2002 on ITV series Popstars: The Rivals, before shooting straight to number 1 with debut single Sound of The Underground.

Number 1s like I Stand By You and The Promise followed as long as many other chart hits like Biology, Love Machine and Call The Shots before they split in 2009.

The group got back together at the end of 2012 to release comeback single Something New and greatest hits collection Ten before embarking on a nationwide tour in 2013.

Cheryl, Nicola and Kimberley have stayed close and paying tribute to Nicola, Cheryl posted: "So she was FINALLY unmasked !! but I swear to you she tried to LIE to ME!! and at one point I even questioned myself !
Finally she got to show millions of you what she is capable of. That’s my girl! I love you so much Nic  @lilcola and I thought I was going to burst with pride watching the moment you were unmasked as the WINNER. now .. we want the album."
