Leeds United still don’t know for definite if Marcelo Bielsa will be their head coach next season.

According to The Mirror, owner Andrea Radrizzani is confident of keeping the Argentine, who failed to propel Leeds back into the Premier League this season.

But Bielsa is historically an unpredictable character with the nickname El Loco – the Crazy One – and nothing can be guaranteed with him right now. Or ever.

You could forgive Radrizzani, then, if reported developments in France worried him.

La Journal du Dimanche reported on Saturday that Marseille will officially announce Rudi Garcia’s departure as coach on Monday.

Bielsa had an excellent season with Marseille during the 2014-15 campaign, but then sensationally quit after one match the following year, accusing the club of reneging on promises they made regarding a contract.

Just like he is at Elland Road, Bielsa was adored by fans of the Ligue 1 giants and former president Vincent Labrune, with whom the Argentina had professional difficulties with, is no longer at the club.

Marseille are seemingly on the lookout for a new coach and while Bielsa is in limbo in West Yorkshire, it could and should worry Leeds.
