Brazil vs England
(October 25, 5 pm, Guwahati)
In the absence of Jadon Sancho, England looked a little blunt in the Round of 16 match against Japan. However, in Rhian Brewster they have found another reliable man up front. But England aren’t a one-man team. Against USA, they had multiple players who stepped up and their collective strength is what makes them a strong unit.

Whether that holds up against Brazil remains to be seen, though. The South Americans proved their title credentials with Sunday’s win over Germany and will enter the last-four match as the firm favourites.

Mali vs Spain
(October 25, 8 pm, Navi Mumbai)
It will be Mali’s strength vs Spain’s skills. At a senior level, this would be a no-contest but Mali are a great threat in this age-group as they’ve shown time and again in this tournament. The African under-17 champions will have an added advantage since they are well-verse with the weather conditions in Mumbai, which will prove to be the biggest barrier for Spain. They will first have to battle the energy-sapping humidity before going toe-to-toe with the runners-up of last edition Mali. Logic says this should be Spain’s match to lose, Mali are one of the most balanced sides and will fancy their chances.
