CIGNA & CMC Launch a New Health Management Product in China - CIGNA & CMC CARE +

SHANGHAI, Dec. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Cigna's joint venture in China, CIGNA & CMC( http://www.cigna-cmc.com ), has launched a health management product specifically designed as part of its high-end medical plan for covered customers. The CIGNA & CMC CARE+ product consists of three components including a Health and Well-Being Assessment, International Employee Assistance Program (IEAP) and Expert Second Opinions. These services are being offered, in addition to the core medical benefits, to enhance value-added service for clients. As of December 1, new clients can enjoy this product. Existing clients and their employees and dependants will benefit from this product as of their renewal date.

Customers also have access to the International Employee Assistance Program that gives them access to free, confidential support to help resolve work/life balance, personal, or family issues. The assistance programs include short-term professional counseling, resources, referrals, and information.
CIGNA & CMC has also partnered with the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic to give customers expert second opinions. When a customer receives a serious medical diagnosis, he or she may not know how to seek advice regarding treatment options. A second medical opinion provides an online review of the diagnosis and recommended medical treatment.
With CIGNA & CMC CARE+, customers are now able to gain access to quality health care and tools and information to help them and their families prevent health conditions before they start.
