Loretta Herrington is the author of Piece of Soul Through the Heart: A Soul's Journey, which recounts the story of her remarkable experience meeting someone she knew in a previous lifetime and the profound friendship that blossomed between them.

“The moment of meeting Zura was a revelation,” recalls Loreta. “I know people have come in and out of my life for a certain reason, but there was so much magnetism on a spiritual level that I could not reconcile it.”

A soul connection is when one soul or one spirit recognizes another soul from the past. Each soul has a role to play in a given lifetime and provides a foundation for lessons learned and soul growth.

According to Loretta, meeting and understanding Zura is part of her soul path. She discovered she and Zura have a soul connection that goes back centuries.

“It rocks your world,” recalls Loretta. “When I met Zura, there was an immediate recognition that I had connection to him, but I couldn’t place it. It was like a Déjà vu moment. He knew there was a connection but he did not understand what was happening.”

Loretta says writing the book helped give her a deeper understanding of soul connections. Soul connections are the highest potential of a loving relationship. God wants us to come together and learn from one another. He sends these souls to us so we can learn from one another.”

“This is about loving a stranger the way you might love a friend or a partner or yourself. And with that comes risk. That risk is pretty frightening,” says Loretta. “But these people are sent to us to educate us, to help us learn, to rise above and become more advanced thinkers, to guide you spiritually to the next level of awareness. Then you become a teacher for someone else.”

Still, says Loretta, the triumph of her book is the friendship she shares with Zura.

“We could have walked away from this at any time but the friendship blossomed,” says Loretta. “We made the decision to keep the relationship intact and I’m happy I did. It’s better to live life with a healthy respect for the mystery.”
