Deschutes Brewery Street Pub Lands in Cincinnati

Crafted for Community: Oregon brewery’s huge mobile block party makes its 2017 debut in Ohio to help local nonprofits

CINCINNATI, OHIO, USA, May 23, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Deschutes Brewery is bringing the pub to the people once again in 2017 with its National Street Pub Tour. The 400-foot-long Street Pub will make its first stop of the year in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 24th from 2-10 p.m. at The Banks on 2nd and Vine. Come early for a special soft-opening on the corner of 2nd and Vine at 11am for a Pride Parade Viewing Party. This year, the brewery has added title partners that share its culture, sustainability and philanthropic goals: Hydro Flask, Humm Kombucha and KEEN Footwear. In Cincinnati, Deschutes Brewery and its partners will work to raise money for the Starfire Council, connecting the community with people who have disabilities, and The Schubert-Martin IBD Center at Cincinnati Children’s, through their Giving Hope program, caring for patients with Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.

Not only will there be a huge selection of Deschutes Brewery beers flowing from the Street Pub’s multitude of taps, but visitors can find guest taps from local Moerlein Lager House and Blake’s Hard Cider. Culinary delights are in the works for all the foodies out there from Deschutes Brewery’s Corporate Executive Chef, Jeff Usinowicz, who is teaming up with Cincinnati’s own Chef Joe Lanni, co-founder of the Thunderdome Group and Chef Jared Bennett of Metropole.

Local, live music from The Buzzard Kings, HEBDO, CLUBHOUSE, and Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas will keep everyone moving to the beat. A kid’s zone for families and a bike valet will also be on site, along with a variety of fun activities by Street Pub partners. Just some of the unique endeavors visitors can expect to find include: Hydro Flask’s Skee Ball Challenge and Hydration Station (made by Black Dog Salvage of DIY Network’s "Salvage Dawgs"); Humm Kombucha’s Creation Station for collaborative art projects and activities; and KEEN Footwear’s activism center and lounge, photo booth, games and free-shoe raffles. Karen Eland Art will also be on-site with live art demonstration of art painted with beer!

About Starfire Council
Starfire is a community building organization unique to Cincinnati that believes in celebrating every person’s interests, skills, and passions. Starfire is leading the way for people to form deeper relationships in community with people with disabilities. By focusing on strengths and supporting people in becoming the best version of themselves through valued life experiences, Starfire is able to tell a new story about community. Starfire believes people’s skills and passions are bigger than their labels. We build stronger social networks together with families, staff, and people with the label of disability by seeking each person’s gifts and connecting them to others who have similar interests.
