SAN DIEGO, CA - (NewMediaWire) - April 26, 2016 - Eco Building Products, Inc., (OTC PINK: ECOB) announced today that Eastern Spruce (SPF) dimensional lumber treated with its topical coating Eco Red Shield FT™ has passed the test regimens for UL723/ASTM E-84 with a flame spread index of less than 25 and a progression of less than 10.5 feet in an extended 20 minute test time, as witnessed and certified by QAI Laboratories at their Rancho Cucamonga, CA facility.

"We are thrilled to expand our Class A Eco Red Shield FT™ product offering by adding Spruce dimensional lumber to our Douglas Fir certification and DrJ Technical Evaluation Retort 1510-01. This opens the very important roof and floor truss market segment to an economical alternative to traditional FRTW treatments. More importantly, there is no strength reduction with the Eco chemistry and application technology which provides truss fabricators with a one for one fire treated assembly. It is a big win for our Affiliates and their customers," said Eco CEO Tom Comery.

The Company expects the product test results to be listed by QAI no later than Friday, April 29 and to begin product marketing immediately thereafter. Spruce Eco Red Shield FT™ will be available through Eco Affiliates by the middle of May, 2016.
