Katherine Elizabeth Easley - Alan Stanfield McClanahan

The Cathedral of St. Andrew was the setting at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, for the marriage of Katherine Elizabeth Easley and Alan Stanfield McClanahan. Officiating was the Rev. John K. Antony of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith.

Parents of the bride are Diane and David Easley of Little Rock. She is the granddaughter of Betty F. Easley of Hot Springs, Edgar D. Easley of Little Rock and the late Dorothy and Leonard Marxkors of St. Louis.

The groom is the son of Leanne and Dr. John David McClanahan of Fort Smith. His grandparents are Rosalind and the late Dr. John McClanahan of Pine Bluff and Betty and the late Edwin Stanfield of Little Rock.

White and ivory urn arrangements of gladioli, stock, roses and hydrangeas decorated the chancel. Music was by cantor Hope Sharp and organist Beau Baldwin.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a lace trumpet-style gown with an off-the-shoulder lace bolero jacket and carried a bouquet of roses and tulips in shades of white and ivory.

Maid of honor was Catherine Cheek of Little Rock. Bridesmaids were Connelly Weeks of Norman, Okla.; Virginia Quinn of Nashville, Tenn.; Annie Stafford and Mary Hargraves, both of Little Rock; and Mackenzie Clyburn of Kansas City, Mo. They wore navy georgette gowns with modified halter-necklines and carried a smaller version of the bridal bouquet. Flower girl was Charlotte Doss of Wynne.

Serving as best man was Barrett Appleton of Dallas. Groomsmen were Matthew McClanahan of Fayetteville, brother of the groom; Benjamin Whitlock of Springfield, Mo.; and Zachary Ingram, Jordan Nolte and Benjamin McClanahan, brother of the groom, all of Dallas. Guests were seated by Daniel Easley of Fayetteville and Benjamin Easley of Jonesboro, brothers of the bride; Jake Nolte and Hunter Whorton, both of Dallas; and Zak Maestri of Fort Smith.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at The Historic Lafayette Building. Guest tables alternated large glass cylinders filled with white and ivory wedding flowers with pillar candles set in greenery. A buffet table held an arrangement of white hydrangeas, tulips and gladiolas in a tall glass cylinder. Music was by the Diamond Empire Band.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in communication disorders and sciences from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, where she was a member of Chi Omega. She is a marketing project manager at Arkansas Heart Hospital.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in biology from UA and is an agent development specialist at Priority1.

After a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Little Rock.
