Library to host a Dutch Colonial Christmas

On Saturday, Dec. 15, the North County Branch Library will present, "A Dutch Colonial Christmas with The Enslows."

The program, which will begin at 2 p.m., will feature Anne and Ridley Enslow, who will sing in colonial costume, giving a brief history of each song and how it fits into a Colonial Christmas.

The Enslows will perform on instruments authentic to the 18

th

century, including the hammered dulcimer and violin. The program will f

eature "carefully authenticated colonial Christmas songs and instrumental music of the era," as well as several special Dutch Christmas songs.

The show will conclude with a carol sing along. Apple cider and Dutch cookies will be served.
