An Aurora woman was injured Wednesday morning when her car rolled over following a crash near Pennsylvania Avenue and West Illinois Avenue, Aurora police said.
Desiree Oliveraz, no age or address provided, was transported to an Aurora hospital with injuries around 8:42 a.m. after her car struck a parked vehicle, police said. Her Pontiac G5 rolled over onto its roof during the crash.
She told police she was driving northbound on Pennsylvania when her car started to drift to the right. She said she attempted to correct for the drift, but her vehicle did not respond to her steering. Her car then struck a parked vehicle, causing her vehicle to roll over, she told police.
She was able to crawl out of the flipped car after the crash, police said.
Oliveraz was cited for improper lane usage, no valid license and driving without insurance.
